Innovative Bioenergy Plant being put into operation
Pfaffenhofen/Grassau, 27.02.2012. agnion Technologies GmbH, pioneer in the field of converting solid biomass into electricity and heat at decentralized plants, puts into operation their first commercial plant. South of Chiemsee in the bioenergy region Achental, the agnion Heatpipe-Reformer was successfully started and is going to supply about 500 homes with electricity and heat through the gasification of wood-based biomass. The showcase project was supported by the Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) within the framework of the BMU Climate Protection Initiative of the Environment Innovation Programme.
