agnion wins Dr. Stephan Mey as its new CEO

Seasoned industrial manager Dr. Stephan Mey (51) assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of the agnion Group effective November 1, 2010.

With its patented Heatpipe-Reformer technology, the company, which was formed in 2007, numbers among the pioneers in the high-growth market for transforming biomass into gas, power and heat. The new CEO, who holds a doctorate in engineering, had most recently headed up the power plant division at Augsburg-based MAN Diesel since 2006, playing a key role in its profitable growth.

Before that, he had served on the management team at pneumatic specialist IMI-Norgren, as well as at ABB. At agnion, Dr. Mey will be driving the global market launch of a new, high-efficiency generation of decentralized plants for biomass gasification.
